Last month, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our video production company, Northwest Video Edge. The decade flew by and it has been quite a ride! We’ve been doing this work for a long time now – ten years on our own, plus 15 years in the video/TV business working for other companies, before that. That’s the “not new” part.
Now, for the “improved” part: the majority of our projects over the past ten years have been for the healthcare industry – videos for clinics, hospitals, dental offices, and senior care facilities. We’ve produced everything from fifteen-second video ads that play on screens in elevators, to hour-long broadcast specials, to hundreds of web and social media videos featuring patient testimonials, provider bios and service line videos. We’ve enjoyed producing this content, treasured the relationships with our healthcare clients, and decided to focus our company solely on video production for the healthcare industry. We’ve swapped out the Northwest in our name to Healthcare for two reasons: one, because of our complete dedication to healthcare clients and, two, because we’re extending our reach beyond the Northwest region to serve clients across the country. We’re narrowing our niche and broadening our service area.
Just as medical and dental providers study and practice deeply in one area to become specialists, that’s what we’ve done – and will continue to do.
What does being healthcare video specialists mean? It means we understand your world in ways other video production companies might not. We are well-versed in HIPAA , patient safety, the way people search for healthcare information, and how to shoot in a surgical suite or exam room to get just the right video, but not get in the way. We study and implement the latest in video storytelling techniques, social media trends and healthcare marketing practices.
We’ve picked the brains of our healthcare MarCom friends about ways we can make their jobs easier, and we’ve built our processes and systems around those specific needs. We deliver engaging and effective video content, without the hassle and headaches that can come along with video projects.
Our focus has tightened, our name and logo have (ever-so-slightly) changed, but we still bring the same depth of experience, passion and expertise to every video project.
