Our mission is to make it easy for busy healthcare marketers to get fresh, engaging video content for use on multiple platforms to help attract patients to their brand. And, just as important, to make the process easy and fun!

 

We’ve run our own video production company since 2008. We used to produce all kinds of corporate videos, but the healthcare ones were always our favorites. When our love for telling the stories of transformed patients and passionate providers converged with the increasing demand our healthcare marketing friends had for video – and lots of it – we decided to go all healthcare, all the time.

Our hospital/clinic has an in-house video team. Why should we bring you in?

Most of our clients have a staff video person, or even an entire video department. Our clients find their in-house people are often too busy to tackle the types of projects we can handle, especially when the deadlines are tight. When we come in as a video partner, we complement their efforts – either by utilizing file video or a pick-up shoot they were able to get at some point, or by sharing our video files with them to bulk up your video library. We love collaborating with other video teams, we do it often, and find it to be a win-win partnership.

You say we get more than just the finished videos – what else is included?

We want you to get the absolute most out of your video project with us. That’s why we give you everything we gather. We know you (or your team) constantly need fresh content for a variety of platforms.

When we wrap up a video project, we give you a jump drive with all of the raw video. We believe this video is yours and you should get as much use out of it as you can. Now you have an instant library of video for file or future projects. (You can use this to put together new videos yourself, or we are happy to help) We also send you transcriptions of all interviews. These are great for pulling quotes or finding tidbits of info you can use for web and social media posts. We’ve had some clients simply lift sections of our interview for an almost-instant blog post or Q&A article. Again, you paid for it – we want you to use this material however you can. We also include closed captioning files with all of our videos. 85% of on-line videos these days are watched without sound, so having the option of words on the screen is essential for engagement and understanding. Many video production companies charge extra for these closed captioning files, but we include them because we believe it’s an important part of making your videos effective.

What types of videos do you do?

If there’s a video that a health, dental or senior care facility or service would need, chances are, we’ve done it! We’ve produced hundreds of videos for healthcare: Patient testimonials, provider bios, procedure/what to expect videos and videos for recruiting, training and fundraising.

What is the basic process we can expect when working with you?

Once you’ve decided on the bundle or video that best fits your needs, we have a strategic planning session either via video conference or over the phone. This is when we learn the specifics of your target patient/client, your unique value proposition, your brand guidelines and the action you want the viewers of your videos to take. We then decide the best way to tell your story – who will star in the videos, what kinds of questions will we ask etc. Then, you set a date and location for the shoot(s) and either you schedule your subjects or they can use our simple on-line scheduling tool to schedule their shoot time. We provide documents to guide you and your video subjects through this process (such as “what to expect, what to wear, what types of questions will I be asked?”). A few days before the shoot, we have a final phone call to nail down the details. Shoot day is the fun part! We can turn your conference room or exam room into a studio. Shoot days are usually long, productive and enjoyable. They fly by because we are busy gathering lots of great video assets. Then, we take all that we’ve gathered back to our offices to begin producing and editing. Within 30 days, we deliver fully-produced, customized videos. You give us feedback so we can make any changes you’d like and then the videos are yours to use however you wish! We also give you files for closed captioning, all of the raw video, and transcripts of the interviews so you get even more ROI from our time together.

How much do your videos cost?

Video costs can vary widely and depend on many factors such as crew size, equipment and number of shoot days.

We’ve created multi-video packages so you can get a lot of video content for the least amount of time, hassle and money. To give you an idea of cost, our bundles start at around $15,000 (the per-video cost for some of these bundles are below $420 per video!) While these video packages are efficient in terms of our shoot days and work flow, you still receive highly customized videos with your people, branding and messaging.

Single video projects tend to have a higher per-video cost and generally start at about $7000. We are happy to talk with you about your specific project and provide an estimate.

Technology has made making videos fairly easy. Can’t I just do this myself?

Yes, you sure can, but why not save yourself time and stress and leave it to the experts? We know that what we do isn’t, say, brain surgery – you certainly could do it yourself – but we produce high-quality health care videos every day. We have it down to a science and it’s what we do best. Our experience means you don’t have to worry about all that goes into professional, effective marketing videos: the lighting, the sound quality, the way to ask questions, the messaging, the editing, the music, the closed captioning – and on and on. We make the process of producing great video content very easy for you. The biggest worry you’ll have is what to post first! Plus, when you work with us, you get finished videos within 30 days and bonus assets that can make your digital marketing even more robust. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t break a sweat.

We’re new to using video and our management is worried about having video crews in our facility.

That’s completely understandable. Let us reassure you that we are very experienced in working in your environment. As a guest in your facility, we will always respect and abide by your rules.

 

We spend a lot of time in hospitals, clinics and care centers, and we know the special concern for patient safety and privacy. All of our crew members are HIPAA trained before they do any kind of work for us. And we’re very picky – when we utilize crew members beyond our in-house team, we only hire those who are experienced and carefully vetted.

We have a lot of video needs and can’t decide on just one bundle.

You don’t have to stop at just one! Let’s get all of your current video needs handled in one swoop. Not only will that save on travel and time, we also give a 10% discount on every additional bundle when you book more than one for consecutive shoot days. Also, once your branding guidelines and assets are in our system, it’s extra easy to do future video projects. Some of our clients have us come regularly – every month or every quarter – so they can quickly build their video library and have new content to consistently roll out on multiple platforms.

Our providers are nervous about being on camera

That’s normal. It won’t hurt, we promise! Before we arrive for our shoot day, we send plenty of information so they’ll know what to wear, what to expect and how to prepare. Please remind them that we are experienced at interviewing and coaching providers through the process, and we won’t take much of their time. They will be done before they know it. Based on our past experience, they’ll actually think it’s fun! And when they see their final video(s), they’ll be extra glad they did the shoot with us.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, we sure do! We can work directly with your client on the video component of their project, or we can work as a representative of your agency – whichever works best for you.

We brainstorm with you about how to get “extra” content during our shoots that will come in handy later.
